Those of you who are new and don’t know about this, every year I set up equipment in a dark corner that records the tech main radio channel for pretty much the entire duration of the convention. Because of how spread-out we were this year, it won’t include everything, but it should have caught most of the traffic in the Hyatt.

I haven’t listened to very much of it yet, but my initial observation is that it looks like Sunday night never ended. There’s usually a gap in the early morning between the night crew and the morning crew. Sunday night/Monday morning this year was an exception. The file timestamps seem to indicate that the transmissions went straight through. Also, the longest file in the collection (over 15 minutes long) happened just before 6:30 AM on Monday morning. You people are insane!

By our reckoning we’re close to filled up for Con this year, so any new staffers who are looking to join the pirate ranks, please bear with us while we begin trying to evaluate our numbers.

When: Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 5 PM until ???

Food - 6 PM serious soups and home made bread served, plus general munchies all evening long.

Drink - Kittesol (Kill us all?), the infamous “orange stuff” available for legal (and brave) drinkers. Soft drinks, beer, coffee, etc.

Music session - bring voices and instruments! Song books provided, food, drink, talk, bonfire and general silliness.

Where: House at 914 Camp Creek Drive (not road, street or parkway, those are miles from here!) Lilburn, 30047. DIRECTIONS: From Atlanta, take Hwy 78 (Stone Mountain Highway) east to the Hugh Howell exit. On the exit ramp, move to the right lane before the light. Turn RIGHT onto Lilburn-Stone Mountain Rd. Go two short blocks to the 1st light. Turn RIGHT onto Old Stone Mountain Road. Go several miles till you cross from DeKalb Co. into Gwinnett Co. and the name changes to Five Forks Trickum Rd. Go to the 3rd light. Turn LEFT onto Westchester (opposite entrance to Mountain Park Park). Westchester ends at Chartley - turn LEFT, go up hill and down, curving right. Turn RIGHT onto Camp Creek Drive and we are the 1st house on the left.
